Basically, the lab is full at present. However, we are always willing to consider highly motivated Ph.D. students and
postdoctoral fellows.

Two ongoing priority areas are:

(1) Exploration of the links between hydrology, invertebrates, and microbial communities in the hyporheic zone; and

(2) Experimental approaches to studying the structure and function of temporary freshwater communities.
The University of Toronto has a respectable funding package for students (made up from a central fund, grant support,
and teaching assistantships).

The entry date into the graduate programme at the University of Toronto is August/September in any calendar year.
However, it is essential that interested students begin the application procedure prior to the end of the previous year
(e.g., November).
