The University of Toronto will implement a significant new initiative in 2013 - the online review and institutional approval of all research applications. It will be rolled out to UTSC and three faculties and phased in university-wide over the next few months. This new system is 'My Research - Applications' (MRA) and it replaces the paper-based RIS (aka Blue) form.
Researchers will complete the application approval form online and then submit it electronically with the associated research proposal. Chairs/Directors will log in to the system electronically to review and approve the proposal. The system will then move the proposal along the approval hierachy electronically.
Please note that hardcopy submissions of RIS forms and research applications from UTSC faculty will no longer be processed once MRA is launched.
Training sessions were held for faculty and staff during the week of January 14 -18, 2013. Additional training sessions on the UTSC campus may be provided at a later date. The St. George training session schedule may be found here.
Please register 48 hours in advance for the St. George sessions by email to raise@utoronto.ca.
