The Sustainability Peer Educator Group was created in April 2009 as a means to promote student involvement in the development of environmental initiatives at UofT Scarborough. Each year, fifteen students with a demonstrated commitment to environmental and social work are selected to be a part of either of the planning or marketing teams for the Group. The primary role of a Peer Educator is the performance of outreach, organizing workshops, initiating, planning and managing on- and off-campus events, leading focus groups and overall acting as a sustainability role model for peers and colleagues at U of T Scarborough.
A new set of Peer Educators are hired in the summer of each year to begin their positions in the following Fall. For more information on how to apply, contact us.
