Organic Deicers for Pathways

During winter 2007-2008, U of T Scarborough used Mountain Organic Natural Ice Melter in place of Blue Heat for ice removal on walkways and terraces around campus. It is generally not beneficial to use large quantities of any sort of salt, but potassium has a fertilizing affect on plants where calcium does not.
