The UTSC Student Travel Fund is a pilot initiative, supported by the Student Experience Fund started in 2007-08. The purpose of the fund is to support student travel to academic conferences, meetings and/or research activities that will enhance their own academic experience and make a clear contribution to enhancing the U of T Scarborough student experience. This is done through reimbursement of travel expenses or some portion thereof.
A committee comprised of the Dean of Student Affairs, Vice-Dean of Academics, and VP Academics, SCSU will review applications for this fund. The Office of Student Affairs maintains the responsibility of administering this fund, totaling $30,000 for 2012-2013. These funds will be disbursed in three rounds in 2012-2013 as per the dates listed below. Reminders of deadlines will be posted via the intranet. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

This initiative is an attempt to address the financial need of students, in support of academic travel. After the pilot year, the fund guidelines will be reviewed to determine continuance.
