Desmond Pouyat Dean of Student Affairs University of Toronto Scarborough |
You are now a member of a supportive and caring community that will do all it can to help you to be successful in your new role. We have professors and staff that love what they do and many of us will find this contagious. As one of the world's greatest universities, our campus at UTSC offers a world-class education both inside and outside the classroom. In my role as Dean of Student Affairs, I am focused on creating a truly great campus experience beyond the classroom, as well as providing top quality and effective student services that support your success. Here at UTSC, we have a plethora of opportunities to become involved, whether you join one of our almost two hundred clubs, start one of your own, become a mentor, join a sports team, volunteer on or off campus, or become involved in one or more of the many leadership opportunities that await you here. If there is one message to leave you with, it's this: get involved with your new community. Make this a place where you develop yourself beyond the learning you get from the courses you do. If you choose to follow this path, you will fully savor your time here at UTSC, and enjoy a legacy of genuinely wonderful memories of your life here, in the years to come. My sincere wishes for a truly great university journey here at UTSC. |
