Important Dates
First Year Guarantee Residence Deadlines:
1) Indicate interest in residence at MyRes
2) Complete online application, upload a colour photo and $400 deposit:
Monday June 3rd, 2013
Move in day for Fall 2013: Sunday August 25th, 2013
Eligibility
A student to be considered as a First Year Student is a student who has
just completed high school, or is transferring from another institution
by which the University of Toronto does not accept previous credits.
How to Apply
- Step 1: Enable Your JOINid
Your JOINid is your key to access the Join
U of T admissions website as well as U of T’s common residence application,
MyRes.
Have your U of T applicant Number, JOINid Number, and OUAC Reference
Number handy and visit uoft.me/enable
to get setup.
Your OUAC Reference Number is a ten-digit number that begins with 2013.
You will need to add a 0 to the end of the number. Please note that
your OUAC Reference Number is NOT your OUAC User ID beginning with "IT".
Step 2: Confirm your interest and rank your residence choices
on MyRes.
Once you login to MyRes,
you will see a list of residences that you are eligible for. You must
then confirm your interest in residence and rank your residence choice-
UTSC.
Step 3: Complete UTSC’s online residence application, as indicated
on MyRes.
This step is crucial in order for your application to be considered.
The deadline for guaranteed residence is Monday June 3rd, 2013 includes;
online application, uploaded colour photo and a $400 deposit.
What happens next?
Residence offers are only made to applicants who receive admission to
U of T. Offers for September 2013 will be sent out by email on a rolling
basis between April and August. You are encouraged to login to MyRes
frequently to check the status of your residence application.
If you receive a residence offer, make sure to follow the instructions
provided and pay special attention to any deposits and deadlines. The
residence’s office will be able to answer any specific questions you
may have about their facilities and room allocation.
- The First
Year Online Residence Agreement and Accessibility
forms are to be viewed, saved and/or printed using Adobe Acrobat.
- Students have until June 30, 2013 to add, delete
or modify their roommates, using a UTSC Roommate ID as well as their
housing preference. Please contact the Student Housing Office if you
need to know your personal UTSC Roommate ID number.
- A photo is required for each applicant and can be uploaded when applying
online. The purpose of the photo submission is to build community development
and for emergency responses.
Sample of ideal photo (must be colour, 500kb or smaller, JPEG or JPG
file).

If you are attending University of Toronto Scarborough
as a student with a disability, please complete and submit an Access
Needs in Residence Form . If you require Attendant Care Services,
please complete both the Access Needs in Residence Form and the Supplemental
Form -Attendant Care.
