Timetable
Enrolling in Courses:
Procedures for this are listed in the Registration Guide. Carefully follow the "Steps to Registration" outlined in the guide and visit the Get Started Website for advice for first year course enrolment. Course enrolment is done on-line using ROSI - our automated student record system. You will be assigned a specific time to begin your enrolment. View your course enrolment start time on ROSI.
Scheduling your courses:
To find out when courses are offered use the Web Timetable. Students who plan to study from September to April should select both their Fall and Winter courses at the same time. Winter courses fill quickly and if you wait until later to select these you may find they are full.
Course Load:
U of T Scarborough is on a trimester system and has three distinct sessions - Fall,
Winter and Summer. This allows you to pursue your studies at the speed
that most fits your needs. It is expected that most full time students
will carry a 2.5 credit course load per session in at least two of these
sessions. Most courses at UTSC are half credit courses. A regular full
time course load is 2.5 credits per session (ie. 5 half
credit courses).
Payment of Tuition Fees
Assessment of Fees- After you select courses, Student Accounts will assess your fee charges. Fee assessment happens in mid July for the Fall/Winter sessions and in mid April for Summer session.
- Login to ROSI under Financial Account from the main menu. Here you will see your account information and fee charges once fee assessment processes.
- NOTE: An invoice is not normally required to make a fee payment and so the University will NOT automatically mail you one. Students are expected to view their account details on ROSI and make the appropriate payment at the bank by the registration deadline. If you need an official invoice (*see notes below), request one from the Registrar's Office or Student Accounts.
Methods of Payment
- Online, telephone or ATM banking (follow the bill payment procedures with your financial institution) – no invoice is required, but you do need the account number showing on the top right-hand corner of your ROSI financial account under invoice format (up to 5 capital letters + 10 numbers)
- In-person Bank Teller – print your ROSI financial account using invoice format to submit with payment
- Refer to Student Accounts website for further details about paying your fees.
- Note: it takes approximately 3-5 days for your payment to arrive in your ROSI financial account from the bank. Monitor this on ROSI to ensure it arrives before the Financial Cancellation deadline.
Fee Payment Deadline - Click here
Fee Payment Information- Students who do not pay fees (or have an approved fee deferral) by the deadline will be removed from courses and their course space will be made available to other students.
- If you make changes to your courses check your revised balance on ROSI. Make an additional payment if appropriate. If your changes result in a credit balance the University will issue a refund.
- Under certain circumstances, students may defer payment of their fees until they receive their funding. These arrangements must be made by the appropriate session deadline. Visit the Financial Aid website for details.
- Students are considered "late" if they select their first course after the session deadline to register, and must follow late registration procedures.
- International Students may obtain additional information on paying fees by clicking here.
How to set up on-line banking privileges
Fees payment can
be processed at any of the financial institutions listed below and most
credit unions. Provide them with your account number and the name 'University
of Toronto'. Your account number is printed on your ROSI financial account under invoice format in the top right-hand corner.
It consists of the first five characters of your surname (in capital
letters) and 10 numbers which is your student number with leading zeroes.
Make sure you distinguish between the letter 'O' and the number 'zero'.
Visit the appropriate websites for detailed instructions on how to set up online (personal) banking Privileges:

RESP/Confirmation of Enrolment
Sometimes students require proof from the University that they are enrolled as a student. This type of verification is often required for RESP plans (registered educational savings plans), immigration purposes, or government programs, but is certainly not restricted to these. Front-line staff in the Registrar's Office (room AA142) can help with this. We can provide students with a letter or complete a form that is provided by the student. In most cases, confirmation of enrolment can be processed for the student on the spot, but there may be instances where we require more time to confirm information and students may need to return for pick up on another day. Please note: In order to complete an RESP form the student must have enrolled in courses. There is a nominal administration fee for this service. The cost is listed as a user fee - click here for details.
