The Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences may hire Sessional Lecturers/Sessional Instructional Assistants to deliver some of its undergraduate courses. Specific courses are listed below and are posted on our Departmental bulletin board outside the main office on the 6th floor of the Science Wing. To be considered for a position, an application and Curriculum Vitae must be mailed to Bill Gough, Chair. Refer to the job posting for mailing address. Note that all applicants must have a valid email address on their application.
Decisions concerning courses in the Winter Session (September through April) are usually made in the preceding October through January period. For summer courses (May through August), hiring decisions are usually made in the preceding January through March period. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these times, depending on circumstances. Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.
Applications will be retained for twelve (12) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent twelve (12) months.
This notice is posted pursuant to the CUPE Local 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. Please note that in accordance with that agreement, preference in hiring is given to qualified persons holding the rank of Sessional Lecturer II.
