The Chemistry group has strengths in analytical and environmental chemistry with emphasis on the transport and distribution of chemical contaminants in soils, sediments, water and the atmosphere, the response of global carbon pools to climatic change, the development of novel nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging based analytical approaches, and their application to assess environmental stress in living systems.
