Policies & Procedures
This page contains information on:
• Prerequisites and Deferred Exams
Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the prerequisites for all Management courses. Students who register for courses for which they do not have the necessary prerequisites will be denied access to those courses.
Students in Management and Economics programs are NOT permitted to enrol in any course if its prerequisite is a course in which the student has a deferred exam (grade of SDF). Successful completion of prerequisites is required before proceeding to courses that require it.
Criteria for Admission into a 7th course in any discipline for a BBA student:
Completion of at least 10 credits
- A cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or more
- The requested Management or Economics course must have space as of the day that the waitlist ends. To verify current dates, please check the Registrar's website.
Procedure:
Requests can only be made on or after the waitlist end date until the "last day to add courses" for each term, as published in the Academic Calendar for each term.
A request must be made to management-supervisor-studies@utsc.utoronto.ca. The subject heading should be ”Add 7th course - Name of Student." The e-mail request MUST include your student name, student number, requested course (course code & section) and the academic rationale for the request.
*Students who do not meet the above criteria or who do not include their academic rationale for the request will not be considered.*
