Co-op Management Student Co-hosts Informal Conversation with CEO of Dell Inc.
On Wednesday, February 27 2008, Co-op Management student Linda Nguyen had the privilege of co-hosting an informal conversation with global leader Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO of Dell Inc., alongside Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman School of Management. Linda, who was personally selected by the President of the University of Toronto, focused the conversation around Dell Inc.’s retail tactics and environmental sustainability strategies. The event concluded with an open question and answer period for members and friends of the University of Toronto community.
Linda is in her third year of the Co-op Management Program at U of T Scarborough. With experience in both the software and investment sectors, she is currently completing an 8-month work-term at Research in Motion (RIM). In her position, she is responsible for developing disaster recovery and contingency plans for their Software Division. With a passion for technology and the high-tech industry, she is gaining first-hand education in a quickly advancing field. This past summer, Linda also had the opportunity to study in the Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary, through U of T’s Study Abroad Program.
