Faculty & Research

The Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough consists of a community of scholars who are deeply engaged in teaching, research, consultation, and writing in a variety of topics in Management and Economics.
Our faculty engages in nationally and internationally recognized research which advances the frontiers of knowledge, serves the interests of our community, and brings new insights to our students.
In addition to academic credentials, our professors bring to the classroom a genuine dedication to teaching and a commitment to creating new knowledge in their fields. Over the years many of our faculty have been the recipients of University of Toronto Scarborough Faculty Teaching Award, an award created to recognize excellence in teaching. Management Professors who have received this prestigious award include Andrew Stawinoga and Michael Krashinsky for the 2000/01 and 1994/95 academic years respectively. Furthermore, Economics Professor, Walid Hejazi was the recepient of MESA's highly coveted Professor of the Year Award for 2006/07.
A number of our faculty are cross-appointed with the Rotman School of Management and the Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources (CIRHR).
