Sessional Lecturer Positions 

The University recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902, Unit 3, as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for all persons in the employ of The Governing Council of the University of Toronto in the City of Toronto and the Region of Peel engaged in teaching, demonstrating, tutoring or marking/grading, save and except teaching assistants, graduate students/post-doctoral fellows at the University of Toronto and other specific persons outlined in the Collective Agreement.

General Information

Generally speaking, we expect to make decisions in June for Fall and Winter courses; in March for Summer courses. However, some decisions may be made earlier or later than these time frames, depending on circumstances.  Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time. Please note that preference in hiring is given to qualified persons holding the rank of Sessional Lecturer II in accordance with the provisions of Article 14:03(a) of the CUPE Local 3902, Unit 3 Collective Agreement.

 

Applications will be retained for twelve (12) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent twelve (12) months.

Sessional Instructional Assistants Application Form

General Information

Unexpected vacancies may arise at any time.  Please note that preference in hiring is given to students enrolled in the School of Graduate Studies of the University of Toronto or prospective graduate students who have made application to be so enrolled, in accordance with the provisions of Article 14:03(a) of the CUPE Local 3902, Unit 1 Collective Agreement.

Applications will be retained for twelve (12) months. Persons who submit applications and CVs will receive emailed job postings for specific positions for the subsequent twelve (12) months.

Salary: $36.35 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
