The Department of Management is pleased to announce that Bloomberg terminals are now officially available exclusively for BBA program student use in the Management Building.
With the growing use of technology within the financial world, industry recruiters are seeking candidates who possess strong business acumen as well as high degree of technical skills using financial technology. In keeping with the industry needs, our goal is to ensure our students remain competitive outside of the classroom and most of all is able to meet the desires of the corporate world.
On a daily basis, financial professionals rely on Bloomberg Professional Services to assist in the execution of major decisions which involve billions of dollars and impact millions of people. Bloomberg Professional Services is the number one source utilized to obtain both real-time and historical financial information and news by central and commercial banks, investment institutions, government offices and agencies, news organizations and corporations in over 160 countries. Having the Bloomberg terminals on campus not only provides our students with instantaneous access to financial information but enables them to complete the Bloomberg Essentials Online Training Program at a flexible pace working around their busy academic schedule.

Is there a cost to enroll in the Bloomberg Essentials Online Training Program?
No, there is absolutely no charge associated with using the Bloomberg terminal or completing the Certificate of Acknowledgement process.
What are the eligibility criteria to have access to the Bloomberg terminals?
The Bloomberg terminals are available to UTSC students who are currently enrolled in a degree program with the Department of Management. We strongly recommend that all students who are exploring a career in the financial industry should take the Bloomberg Essential training Program.
When are the training sessions being offered?
The Bloomberg training is an online training program which allows users to work at their own pace independently. However, you are required to reserve a Bloomberg terminal online using the UTSC Intranet. For further instructions, please read below.
What hours will I be able to access the Bloomberg training room – IC306?
The Bloomberg terminals are located in the financial lab which is located on the third floor in the Instructional Centre - IC306. Students will be able to have access to the Bloomberg training room between the hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, except for holidays.
How long will it take to complete the Bloomberg Training?
You are able to work at your own pace to complete the Bloomberg training. Students will need to bring a headset since one will not be provided in the Finance Lab. The Bloomberg training is divided into two categories, the Bloomberg Core Videos and Bloomberg Market Sector Videos. Please see below for the duration of each video.
