Frequently Asked Questions

Before I arrive on campus:

Q) Is alcohol permitted on campus?
A) Alcohol is prohibited on campus. Special events require a license.

Q) Are pets allowed in Residence?
A) Sorry, pets are not allowed in Residence.

Q) Is parking available?
A) Yes. Parking is available at no extra charge for those residing on campus. Guests may obtain a Parking Pass and a Proxy Card from the Front Desk Staff. Please note that a $10 deposit will be required for signing out the Proxy Card.

Q) Is there a computer I can use during my stay?
A) Yes, there are computers available at the library that guests may use.

Q) Do the townhouses/apartments have Internet access? What about wireless?
A) Internet can be arranged in some of the townhouses and apartments but guests will require an Ethernet cable from the Front Desk. Wireless guest accounts and passwords can also be obtained for use in the Residence Centre.

Q) What time is check-in/check-out?
A) Check-in may take place any time between 4pm and 8pm unless other arrangements have been made prior to arrival. Check-out time is before 10 am.

After I arrive on campus:

Q) Are their laundry facilities on campus?
A) Yes. There are laundry rooms located among the townhouses on Blocks Birch and Grey Pine, and on each floor in Joan Foley Hall. Guests will require a laundry card to use these facilities. (charges apply) Ask the staff at the Front Desk.

Q) What are my dining options on and off campus?

Q) Something in my townhouse/apartment does not work what should I do?
A) If something in your Residence does not work, please report it to the Front Desk staff and they will get it fixed.

Q) How may I obtain access to the gym?
A) See the Front Desk staff to obtain a Recreation Pass.
