Philip Cox (pictured right) won the prize for best essay at the 2010 Student Research Conference in the Humanities. His paper was entitled "Mapping Boundaries, Human Bodies: The Imposition of Identity in Titus Andronicus". This essay was written originally for Prof. Marjorie Rubright’s ENGC35H Imagined Communities in Early Modern England, 1500-1700.
The winner of the McClelland and Stewart Essay Prize in Canadian Studies is Jason Knabl for "’Do you think you’re awake?’: History, Illusion, and Ideology in Michael Redhill’s Consolation". This essay was written for Prof. Marlene Goldman’s ENGD69H Knowing the Other: Ethics and Canadian Literature.
The winner of the Oxford University Press Essay Prize is Roseanne Alexandra Bibby for "False Identities in Stevens’ Swingtime and Stone’s Stormy Weather." This essay was written for Prof. Alice Maurice’s ENGD92H The Film Musical.
