Entry Requirements for the Concurrent Teacher Education Program
- Concurrent Teacher Education Program applicants will be admitted on
the basis of a combination of academic standing and personal
experience as expressed in the "applicant profile".
- If you are applying directly from secondary school (into Year 1), note that last
year's admitting range was in the low 80s.
- If you are applying during your first year of undergraduate study (into Year 2)
you must have accumulated a minimum of 4.0 full course equivalent credits in your
first year. In addition, the minimum requirements is a 2.5 CGPA. We pay close attention to prerequisite courses. Strong, consistent achievement
is important.
Prerequisites for the Concurrent Teacher Education Program
- All applicants must be eligible to receive the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- Applicants must present at least six (6) Grade 12 University (U) courses or University/College (M) courses
- One credit must be Grade 12 English ENG4U.
- Applicants must satisfy English Facility Requirements
For entry onto the (TEA) Concurrent Education – Arts: French program
Grade 12 U courses in French
For entry onto the (TES) Concurrent Education – Science: Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics Program
- Calculus and Vectors
- Advanced Functions
- Gr 12 U Chemistry and/or Physics may be required depending on the desired teaching subject.

Apply to U of T Scarborough
- High school students applying to year 1
- Apply online via the Ontario Universities'
Application Centre at http://www.ouac.on.ca no later than February 1, 2013.
- Complete and submit the applicant profile online at "http://www.ctep.utoronto.ca/admissions/applicantProfile.html" NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 15, 2013.
- University students not at U of T applying into year 2.
- Apply online via the Ontario Universities' Application Centre at
http://www.ouac.on.ca no later than February 1, 2013.
- Complete and submit the applicant profile online at "http://www.ctep.utoronto.ca/admissions/applicantProfile.html" NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 15, 2013.
- UTSC students transferring from a different program into UTSC CTEP Year 2

- Step one:
Complete the Request Form by May 15, 2013 online. Once you submit this form you will be directed to the CTEP Applicant Profile.
- Step Two:
Complete the CTEP Applicant Profile by May 15, 2013. Applicant profiles must be completed online at "http://www.ctep.utoronto.ca/admissions/applicantProfile.html"
- U of T students transferring to a dIfferent campus or faculty Into Year 2
- Apply to transfer by March 1, 2013 at
http://horizon.ouac.on.ca/uoft/internal
- Complete the CTEP Applicant Profile by May 15, 2013. Applicant profiles must be completed online at
"http://www.ctep.utoronto.ca/admissions/applicantProfile.html"

- After you have applied to OUAC and received an acknowledgement letter from the University of Toronto,
you will have to complete the CTEP applicant profile online, which is a supplementary Application Form. See below.
- A processing fee will be charged.
- The Concurrent Teacher Education Program admissions officers will review your application
and inform you of their decision.
Concurrent Teacher Education Program Applicant Profile
The Applicant Profile is a vital part of the admissions selection process.
All applicants to the U of T's Concurrent Teacher Education Program must
complete and submit the CTEP Applicant Profile online as part of their
documentation for application.
In the applicant profile, you will be asked to write about your experiences
related to teaching and learning, and what you have learned from those experiences
