A long time staff member in the Registrar’s Office at U of T Scarborough, was chosen as this year’s recipient of the Patrick Phillips Staff Award. Following is a summary of the many contributions she has made to U of T Scarborough.
“Rita is an outstanding employee, who works tirelessly to ensure that the records, convocation, statistic and scheduling services that she is responsible for, not only meet, but always exceed expectations.
Rita has always been a problem solver and is invariably looking for ways to make things run better and more smoothly. She has never put herself forward and is only too quick to say after doing some uncalled for and probably thankless task that she was only doing her job.
She continually supports her staff to achieve their professional goals, the goals of the department and those of the U of T Scarborough community.
Her devotion, hard work and concern for others is highly regarded both by those who report to her and those who work with her. And all this is done with a smile and a positive attitude. She really makes U of T Scarborough a better place to be.”
