Students Returning from a 12-month (or more) absence from studies
Your services and accommodations are put in place for a specified time, or up to one year. You must book a re-registration appointment once per year (usually late summer/early fall) in order to discuss your services and accommodations in the context of your current disability and academic program needs. This will allow us to ensure that your services and accommodations continue to meet your needs.
Students are strongly encouraged to register with AccessAbility Services as early as possible to avoid a delay in service. The earlier a student registers, the better we will be able to develop an accommodation plan with a student.
Step 1:
Contact the service at 416-287-7560 or ability@utsc.utoronto.ca to book an appointment with a counsellor. Please mention that you have previously been registered with the service and indicate when you last used the service.
Step 2:

The student will then work with the service on an ongoing basis to manage the accommodation process. Generally, students will meet with their counsellor annually (re-registration) so that he/she can update students on new initiatives and review the student’s accommodations.
