My work is in two areas—Mongolian and Altaic languages in general, and the semantics of tense and verbal aspect. My books include "Modern Mongolian: A transformation Syntax" (U. of T. Press, 1989) and "Time and the Verb: A Guide to Tense and Aspect" (Oxford University Press, 1991).
