Since UTSC was established as a campus in 1964, award-winning architects have been hired to create its unique buildings.
Larry Wayne Richards, former Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at University of Toronto said that the original campus facility "remains one of Canada's most important modern buildings and is one of the two iconic works of twentieth-century Canadian architecture that continue to resonate internationally."
Rogers Television aired a 27-minute documentary about the architectural and social history of UTSC for its program Structures, an award-winning television series focusing on Toronto's dynamic historical buildings, legends and personalities. Featured in the episode are interviews with Principal Franco Vaccarino, faculty and alumni.
